small bales,
big nutrition

A combination of ideal climate and careful crop care results in nutrient-dense alfalfa, grass, and barley hay that brings out the best in your livestock.

What sets our hay apart

EASY TO HANDLE

Don’t have hay handling equipment? No problem! Our small square bales are 16 inches by 18 inches in size and weigh between 70-80 pounds each, making them easier to move by hand.

award-winning

We annually enter hay in county, state and national forage competitions to see how it stacks up against hay producers across the nation. Our hay has won numerous awards at all levels of competition.

WEED FREE

We participate in our county’s certified weed-free hay program which involves an inspection performed by a forage specialist one week prior to being cut.

Why alfalfa?

Crude Protein

Without adequate crude protein (CP), animals cannot properly digest forage. Horses generally need between 12-18% CP while lactating dairy cows require 15-17% CP. Alfalfa hay generally has a crude protein percentage between 9 and 22%.

Relative Feed Value

Relative feed value is the measurement of two types of fiber values in hay: estimated intake and estimated digestibility. It is a prediction of feeding value in legume hay. Alfalfa hay has some of the highest RFV ratings of any forage on the market.

Total Digestability

Total Digestible Nutrients, or TDN, is the sum of digestible components in a forage and is directly related to digestible energy. Alfalfa hay is very high in TDN and can reduce or eliminate the need to add supplements to your livestock's diet. One ton of alfalfa hay contains as much TDN as 25 bushels of corn.
